Invites representatives from Voluntary Community Groups in Westmeath to participate in a series of
Voluntary Community Group
The aim of these workshops is to empower community groups to develop the skills necessary to identify their needs, and carry out effective actions for change in their communities. Sessions details are;
- May 4th 7-9.30 pm Understanding Your Community— Developing a community profile and needs analysis. Identifying needs for future developments in your community. ( Facilitator -Theresa Geoghegan)
- May 11th 7-9:30pm Committee Skills– Identifying key roles of committee and group members, whilst exploring good practice for committees, guidance on running effective meetings and essential team work skills (Facilitator- Trisha O Rourke)
- May 18th 7-10pm Fundraising– Identifying and running effective fundraising initiatives & Developing strategic plans (Facilitator-Kevin Delaney Academy Street Workshop)
- May 25th 6:30-10pm Good Governance& Charity Regulations– Exploring the Governance Code for Community , Voluntary and Charitable organisations. Requirements for your group to be compliant & how to register for the Charity Regulatory Authority (Facilitator from The Wheel).
Workshops will take a place at Westmeath Community Development, E.T,I Cntr, Mullingar Business Park. Mullingar.
