Disability/Older Persons Services & Info Event for Mullingar 03/12/18

Disability Day 2018

Westmeath Community Development will host its annual Disability/Older Persons Services and Information event in The Mullingar Park Hotel on Monday, 3rd December from 11.00-2.00pm.

The date was chosen as it coincides with EU Day for Disability. It is being organised and funded by Westmeath Community Development, Social Inclusion Community Activation Programme (SICAP) in conjunction with Independent People with Disabilities and Westmeath County Council.

This event has been hugely successful in previous years, bringing together service providers and service users. There are 35 different service providers who have confirmed they are attending on the day, so it is a great opportunity to come along and find out what services are available in the community all under the one roof.

The event commences with a few key note speeches and we will have Mayor John Dolan and Minister Kevin Boxer Moran also in attendance. Olive Powell, through Westmeath Sports Partnership will also give us a demonstration on how people with limited mobility can still exercise.

So come along if you are free to meet with different services and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and light refreshments.
