Very proud moment for Westmeath Traveller Project on Saturday 25th November when 2 members of our Community Health worker team Christine Joyce and Bridget Nevin graduated with a 1st class honours Diploma in Community Development with NUI Galway. Winne Nevin and Juliann Ward from the wider Traveller community in Mullingar also graduated.
The education project was a big piece of work between Exchange House, ETB THU and local groups in the Midlands, including Westmeath Community Development.
Tributes also need to be paid to our other staff Caroline Nevin and Christine Joyce for the work they put into this initiative over the last few years and helped get it off the ground.
We look forward to further success for members of our Traveller Community.
