Westmeath Traveller Project held our Annual Traveller Pride Event on 1st October 2021 in Grange Resource Centre Mullingar.

We had a good attendance in spite of the bad weather. We had a display of old Photos,  a tent and tin smith (pictured below), some Traveller girls singing (video below) and awarded prizes to winners of our Colouring competition on the day.

Thanks to the Department of Justice who granted us funding to run the event, also Catherine Mc Entree of Youth Work Ireland who helped to organise food for the event, Linda Jo Quinn of SICAP, Navan Living History Project who brought along the old Traveller Tent and the Tin Smith and also the Westmeath examiner who came along and took some photographs.
