In September 2023, Westmeath Community Development launched our report which highlights the achievements and success stories of communities and rural entrepreneurs around the county.   It was launched by Minister Peter Burke T.D. at the Ploughing Championships in Ratheniska.

The LEADER Programme has been providing support to communities and businesses in Westmeath for almost 30 years and its impact and legacy can be witnessed through enhanced community and recreational facilities and amenities, rural businesses providing local employment as well as initiatives which contribute to improving the environment. This report highlights a number of the more recent accomplishments of LEADER in Westmeath and we are delighted and indeed proud to share such accomplishments with such a wide audience.
